New album “Extreme Northern Griefmetal” out 10/10/2024

Griefsoul was created by Emppu Kinnaslampi during autumn of 2020 as a one man griefmetal orchestra. It was originally based in Mikkeli but later on re-located to Joensuu, Finland.

Griefsoul’s sound can be described as guitar-riff driven melodic death metal with an eerie melancholic twist. Most of the key influences are rooted in the 90’s and 00’s style metal. Lyrically many of the songs deal with the concept of limited time. Griefsoul continues to make music. As long as one gets to live, then there’s still time.
